A New Goal

We crushed our first goal. Now we're doubling down. The 2 Million Cans Challenge is our flagship community campaign — a county-wide mission to collect and recycle two million aluminum cans while making the journey as engaging, competitive, and rewarding as possible. This isn't your grandparent's recycling drive. This is a full-scale community competition with real stakes, real rewards, and real environmental impact.

The Challenge runs until we hit two million cans — and every single can is tracked, verified, and celebrated. Whether you're donating your first five cans or your five thousandth, you're part of something bigger than yourself. You're part of the R.A.C.E. — Recycling Aluminum Cans for the Environment.

FAQ

We accept aluminum beverage cans only, including cans from soda, energy drinks, sparkling water, and other canned beverages. Please do not include steel or tin cans, plastic bottles, glass containers, or other recyclable materials. Keeping the collection limited to aluminum beverage cans helps us process donations efficiently and stay focused on our 2 Million Cans Challenge.

Yes, please rinse your cans before donating them. A quick rinse helps remove leftover drinks and keeps the collection cleaner and more pleasant for everyone. It also helps prevent ants, insects, and other pests from being attracted to the cans while they're being collected and stored. They don't need to be perfectly clean — just give them a quick rinse and let them drain.

Absolutely! Businesses are an important part of reaching our 2 Million Cans Challenge. Whether you have a small office, restaurant, retail location, school, or large organization, your aluminum cans can make a meaningful contribution. We welcome businesses of all sizes to collect cans with their employees, customers, or community and help us reach this major milestone together.
