Washington state provides curbside recycling access to nearly 90% of its population. Recycling services are provided by a combination of contracted haulers, municipally run programs, and unincorporated areas which have their services run by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission. Unlike its two neighbors to the south, Oregon and California, Washington does not have a bottle bill.
