This journey to gather 1 Million Aluminum Cans has been extraordinary. As we near the goal, it feels akin to the dissertation process before earning a doctorate in your chosen field.

I chose to focus on recycling aluminum cans after working in a call center with 500 employees and noticing how cans and bottles were simply discarded.

I found it wasteful and pondered how I could save these cans and bottles and turn it into a business.

That's when I began my research. I found that container deposit programs existed worldwide, but not in my state, and I realized there must be a way to encourage people to recycle. So, I decided to initiate the process myself.

And there you have it, one man from Tacoma started collecting aluminum cans with the goal of recycling 1 Million Aluminum Cans.
