Anthony Sturgis is the founder of 1 Million Cans Man, a community‑powered recycling movement uniting Pierce County around a bold environmental mission. What began as Anthony personally collecting aluminum cans to clean up his neighborhood has grown into a large‑scale effort to gather 2 million cans and recognize the individuals who contribute.
Anthony’s leadership is rooted in simplicity and community engagement. He believes that small actions, when multiplied across a community, create meaningful change. Through public recognition, milestone rewards, and consistent engagement, he has built a model that inspires people to take part in local sustainability efforts.
Driven, authentic, and deeply committed to his community, Anthony continues to lead the 1 Million Cans Man movement with a focus on unity, environmental responsibility, and celebrating the everyday people who make the mission possible.
